This slightly hilarious video shows some of the flaws with modern smartphone designs
The man has a point or two…..
The best thing about being part of the global tech community is that you get to hear so many different takes and opinions on a certain gadget or technology, and see the different perspectives that a single devices can invoke from people. But it’s even better when you see an opinion from a totally different person in a totally different part of the world that’s exactly like yours. Marton/TechAltar’s video above is just one example of that, pretty much stating how the curves in modern day smartphones, along with a few other features, are getting out of hand and most of these phones aren’t even practical anymore. This video focuses mainly on smartphone curves getting out of hand, but an added one below talks about how modern mid range smartphones may even be better than their flagship counterparts.
Now let’s be 100% direct here, practicality may not necessarily be the most attractive feature in smartphones today, but it’s still very much important. Smartphones are still tools after all, among other things, and no one wants a tool that isn’t utilitarian and practical, or one that will just be a more of an expensive liability in some instances than an added asset. And that’s not to say you shouldn’t buy phones with crazy curved screens or other flagship features as well, it simply means you should at least keep an eye out when it comes to these things, because after all the last thing you want to do is regret your buying decisions as well. So as you take some moments to perhaps laugh at some of the ironies of modern smartphones, you can think of what’s most important to you when you buy one and gain a little perspective for the next time you buy one especially in this economy.
