The base iPhone 11 might be the best product choice Apple has made in years
It’s price is its best feature…..
So most of you are more than well aware of the iPhone 11 lineup, Apple’s three new iPhones that range from the more normal 11 to the high end 11 Pro and Pro Max, and while we’re definitely going to be talking about the latter two phones soon enough , we figured it’s best we first tackle what we honestly think is the best option in this year’s iPhone lineup: the normal iPhone 11.

Now let’s get this straight, this isn’t the iPhone that Apple would probably want you to buy. In a perfect world, for them that would be the USD $1000 and up iPhone 11 Pro brothers. But Apple is well aware that this is the phone most people likely will buy. And that’s because anyone with a sane mind and not looking for a the most specced out phone on Earth would probably buy this instead of the Pro iPhones. And while some of you may argue that the full Apple experience is getting the most impressive phone possible, you might be a little hard-pressed to find that iPhones have rarely been the most impressive phones on the market for years now. True Apple fans rarely ever realise this, but it’s common knowledge to anyone who bothers to look, that the iPhone’s Android competitors have been producing more visually stunning, technologically advanced or innovative phones for the past few years now, and the iPhone has become more of a trend matcher than a trend setter. Just look at al the new Features all the iPhones boast this year and see how many of those didn’t come from another already existing Android device. And once you realise that, you’ll see that at the very least, the more basic iPhone 11 boasts a feature that it’s flashier siblings simply do not have ; a better price.
The iPhone 11 starts at USD $699, which is cheaper than 11 last year’s less capabe iPhone XR, or even the launch price of the Samsung Galaxy s10e. All the while the iPhone 11 still boasts a premium but different finish, only one less camera than the 11 pro models , and a less flattering LCD *ahem* we mean Liquid Retina display than it’s elder siblings’ OLED panels, but a still worthwhile panel if you ask us. Simply put, the iPhone 11 is still around 80% of the same phone you’re getting in an 11 Pro and Pro max but for around $300 less, and that’s a huge bargain, especially if you feel you need to jump onto a new iPhone this year. Again, we’re sure Apple realised this, and that’s why they decided to make the iPhone 11 a much better buy even down to the point of it’s naming structure (think about it, you likely don’t think it’s a lesser iPhone as you did with the XR), and the company making this move is indicative of how we previously mentioned they are changing strategies for the future.

Now is the iPhone 11 the best phone of the year period? Well, no. In fact if you’re not just an Apple fan you’re likely already rambling names that would beat this phone dead when it comes to value, camera quality, aesthetics and so on. But chances are the Apple faithful have been looking for a phone to replace their aging iphone 8 and 7 or even 6s. And while we will pour one out for you losing your headphone jack if you came from the 6, and losing a fortune if you for some crazy reason buy this phone in Zimbabwe, we’ll say that if you’re choosing an iPhone this year, this is likely your best choice.
