Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s revenge is Mortal Kombat trying their hand it’s spreading it’s fanbase
A little something to tide fans over until the actual movie comes out….
Mortal Kombat is arguably the most popular fighting game series of the past few years. And as we said in our last article about Mortal Kombat 11, the series has actually built a respectable and intriguing story that fans and non-fans can appreciate, a fact which most people unfamiliar with the game we noted would never realize. It seems Warner Brothers had the same idea and as such comes the birth of Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, the straight to DVD and digital animated movie that will seemingly address the events of the first Mortal Kombat tournament as well as explore the Origins of titular fan favorite Scorpion. This is all while an actual theatrical live-action Mortal Kombat movie is actually being produced and is stated to launch early next year.

We can’t be sure of the quality of either Scorpion’s Revenge or the upcoming live action flick yet, but if the trailer is anything to go by, the animated feature will be an enjoyable watch for anyone looking for a good fighting romp. Here’s to hoping the movie lives up to the game’s honestly spectacular story modes in the last few MK games.
