Want to use Liquid/ZOL’s $90 unlimited packages? You have one (minor) hoop to jump through.
Because there’s always fine print with these guys…..

Everyone rejoiced when Liquid Home (formally ZOL) introduced its new USD packages at the end of June, basically slashing it’s prices by up to 50%. We all cheered because we knew that the pressure of Starlink approaching was working, as these companies look into securing their customers before Starlink can entice them. But there’s just one minor caveat, if you’re an existing Liquid Home subscriber, you shouldn’t assume that your existing, likely comparable package will automatically get switched to this one e.g. having Wibronix Unlimited for $180 switched to the $90 package . In fact unless you formally ask ZOL to switch your package for you, you’re going to be charged according to the old package. And the longer you use it, the more you’re charged when you make the switch.
Now to be fair, there is some reason behind this. Mainly that Liquid classifies these as new packages, not existing ones. Meaning that they are at least correct to state that you need to tell them that you need to switch to another package. But it’s obvious that Liquid should be upfront about this information, especially since their marketing materials state nothing about this, including on their website. Instead you only find out when either you want to pay for the new package, or realize your old bill price coming back when you want to pay for the next month. It’s not necessarily enough for us to state that Liquid is outright doing this to trap customers in more expensive pricing, but let’s be real here, it kind of looks that way.
